The last to go...

Hi Everyone!  Well, it was a sad and happy day on Thursday.  Red Rover went to her forever family.  She spent 12 weeks with us so we were fortunate enough to get to know her the best out of all the pups.  Red and Bo became great pals especially in the last few weeks since she was the only pup left.  But she is going to the family that we were waiting for all this time.  They had recently lost one of their hunting labs named Hawkeye and I think she will fit right in.  I've said all along that she was the smartest pup and was going to be a great hunting dog,  you could just see it in her even this early.  I steered families that were just wanting a member of the family, a pet, away from her because she needed to become a hunting dog as well as a member of the family.  And I'm glad I did because she is exactly where she needed to be.
Here she is with her new family.  Don't they look like they're going to be happy together?  I think so.  Well, this part of our adventure is over.  It was sure fun!  Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time...

Last girl standing...

Hi Everyone!  Red Rover (named for the color of her collar) is the last puppy waiting to find her forever home.  She is truly the sweetest thing.  She gets along great with my other dogs.  She loves Bo.  They spend a lot of time together.  She's almost house and crate trained.  It's been great fun spending time with her.

Who could resist that face?  If you know anyone looking for a puppy, please contact me!  Thanks for stopping by.

And then there was one...

Hi Everyone!  I just wanted to share with you the last pictures of the last four puppies.  The three boys went to their forever homes this past weekend.  So now, there's only one girl left.  Which actually surprises me.  I would have thought she'd have gone first.  She is so smart!  She's going to make an amazing hunter.  But none of the people who took home the other puppies seem to be hunters, so maybe that's why she's still with me.  I took her to the vet yesterday to get her second set of shots and the vet was so impressed with her.  She just sat on the table and didn't need to be held while he cut her nails and looked her over.  The vet said if he didn't already have three at home he would have bought her.  So I'm confident we'll find her the right home.
It looks like the second puppy is having quite the serious conversation with the one next to him.

This is the little girl that's left.  She's so sweet and smart.  She's been pointing at the cats and then pouncing next to them to make them run.
This nice family took home my largest boy.  The one that I called Mr. Green Jeans or John Deere Green.  They seemed like a great family and I'm confident he'll have a nice life with them.
These two took home the puppy with the black collar that I called Black-eyed Pea.  The little boy and Black-eyed Pea seemed to be in love with each other almost immediately.  I know he went to great home.

Little Boy Blue went to a nice family too.  They didn't come to see him until after 9:30pm on Monday night and I forgot to get a picture of them together to share.  But I think they will all be happy together.  *Update* My parents ran into Blue's new family and his name is now Sammy and they are enjoying having him as the latest addition to their family.

So now it's Red Rover's turn.  So if you're looking for a puppy or know someone that is, contact me.  She's had both her first and second set of shots and is such a sweet, smart little girl.  Well, thanks for stopping by.
