The puppies are five weeks old now. It doesn't seem possible. The puppies went to Mom and Dad's after the Easter meal was over and the egg hunt was done so that my cousin's children could see them. This little guy is super afraid of dogs but this is the second visit he's had with the puppies so maybe we can lay some of those fears to rest. Doesn't he look happy holding that puppy!
Look at how big these puppies are getting. All the puppies use to fit nicely in this basket and now look at them. But they are healthy dogs and getting bigger every day. They are using the puppy pee pads instead of their bedding which has made it much easier on me to clean up. And in case I haven't mentioned it, the puppies were born in the large bathroom closet and have their bed and play area in there and their food and pee pads on the floor in the bathroom. The bathroom is tiled which makes clean up so much easier.
Next week the puppies go back to the vet for their first round of shots. And in three weeks they will be able to go to their new homes. So, if you are interested in a puppy, please let me know. Thanks for stopping by.

Puppy collars, food, and activity galore...
Hi Everyone! Here are some pictures I took a few days ago. The puppies now have collars on so it's very easy to tell them apart. And made giving them their de-worming medicine much easier. They are really getting active. They can all climb over the wooden barrier except for one, the blue collared boy. He has a little trouble but is starting to figure it out. They stay in their area except for when Bailey and I go in and then it's a mad dash to get to her and to see me. They are also starting to use the puppy pee pads, hallelujah! which makes cleaning up after them so much easier!!! I've started them on puppy food, watered down or wet canned food. They get a little milk from mommy yet, but they have teeth now, OUCH!
If you know anyone interested in a puppy, let me know. Thanks for stopping by.

Mug shots...
Hi Everyone! Here are some close up pictures of each puppy and their profile. As you can see, they all now have collars so it's easy to tell them apart. And they are getting big. My dad is hold them and they are definitely a two-handed handful! The profile picture of each puppy is right next to their portrait picture. You can't always see the collar in the picture, but I know the order they were taken and then have their pictures labelled. The first two are the girls and then the boys.
If you're interested in a puppy or know someone that is, please contact me. I'm taking reservations. Well, thanks for stopping by.

We have activity...
Hi Everyone! The puppies are finally getting active! That means the fun is beginning! I love it when they interact with me. It's fun to cuddle them when their sleeping too, but their personalities are starting to form. I already know who the smartest one is. And yes, it's a girl! But the most lovable is a boy. It's difficult to get really good pictures of them when their active, so I'll just show the little photo session we had that ended with dinner on Bailey.
And of course you can't tell it in the pictures, but when they start nursing, their tails wag. Bailey has less than a week of nursing left because they will start to be weaned. I think Bailey's more than ready for that to happen. Well, thanks for stopping by. If you are interested in a puppy, let me know.

The puppies are 3 weeks old...
Hi Everyone! The puppies are three weeks old now and getting big. I took them over to visit my mom and dad the other day. These pictures were taken there.
They are just huge! All their eyes are open and their starting to get a little more active. Although they slept most of the time we were at my parents. But when I went home for lunch today, they were active! They were rolling around with each other and one was pulling on one of the others ears. Of course I didn't have my camera handy. I'll try to take some more pictures tonight and post them.

Bo and the puppies...
Hi Everyone! I just had to share this picture of Bo sticking out his tongue. Isn't he cute! Bo got his first glimpse of the puppies last night. Bailey let him look in and he just stood there with his ears up and his head cocked to the side looking at them. But you can be sure that his nose was working over time trying to get a good sniff of them. He has been a good boy about the whole thing. He hears the puppies and will lay at the closed door with his nose to the crack under the door when Bailey is in with the puppies but doesn't try to push his way in.

Two weeks old...
Hi Everyone! The puppies are getting big! They are two weeks old now. It's rare for me to ever see them all piled together like this. Usually to get them all in one shot I have to move them together, but I got lucky and they were all close together. This picture makes them look like black labs, but it's the lighting. They are most definitely chocolate labs.
I couldn't pass up taking a picture of this guys face. Don't you just want to snuggle him?Last night I took the puppies over to see my parents. This is my mom holding one of the girls. The two girls are starting to open their eyes and peek out a little, then they close them up tight. Any day now.
I took them over to Mom and Dad's in a box and brought them home in a laundry basket. None of my baskets were big enough so I used the largest box I had, but it was almost to small for them, so my mom sent us home with one of her laundry baskets. Thanks Mom!
Well, thanks for stopping by. I'll add their two week old photos to the puppy page.
